That very spring, we had a significant amount of water dripping from our roof hatch and a little swelling around the window frames. We contacted the builder, Hopewell homes, and because it was within the 5 year warranty window, they sent someone out to inspect. The gentleman basically told us everything was good, our hardwood was not swelling so our humidity in the house was good, he put a little seal around our roof hatch, and said we had plenty of vents and went on his way. We trusted this inspector and the company, which was a horrible mistake. We noticed a water stain on the ceiling of the master bedroom (same room the hatch is in) about a year later, so we brought someone in to do some thermal imaging to get to the bottom of it. He had a few reccomendations, he said the Hrv vent wasn't closing, so we had that repaired because it had fallen off track or...
